- If you are a current student member when you graduate, the GOLD program will give you up to 50% off your membership for the five years after you graduate.
- Paper & design contests
- IEEE will pay to send you to regional paper and and design contests if you wish to compete.
- Reduced rates for IEEE Societies
- Interested in consumer electronics or nuclear power? IEEE has dozens of societies that span all areas of engineering. As a student, you are given reduced rates so why not check a few on your membership form and see if you are interested?
- Free @ieee.org e-mail alias
- You can have your own @ieee.org mail alias for as long as you are an IEEE member, student or professional. This is a nice passive way to let a potential employeer know that you are involved with the IEEE.
